Yeh - I have that noise everyday! :p hehehehehehehehe! Dont get me start on R32 videos! You think that noise is lush - check out these:

Just watch this video from 1:55 if nothing else;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKzJqrlBLUA

And this video makes me get a bit excited everytime I watch it....

You need mega loud volume!

The R32 doesnt feel to pick up as quick, obviously because you havent got that instant punch of boost. And it's not as much "push back in your seat" power, but it does go well. The 4wd alone is worth having. Just for 1st gear flatting with no wheelspin :D Even in the wet ;)

If you can afford the supercharger/turbo/twin turbo kits then good luck! You're looking at the same price you pay for the car for these kits! Literally! Awesome when it's done though. Lambo chasers :D I've just got a Milltek non res cat back, Milltek sports cats and green cotton panel filter on mine and the Milltek alone has improved the drive/power and most of all, noise. :) Just with the full Milltek you can see 260-270bhp (dependant on the car, every car makes totally different power). Get a remap and some cams aswell, you'll be up around the 280-300bhp mark :)

You know you want one......who wants a BMW anyway? :cartman:

Haha I was joking about turbo charging...I'd never spend that much modifying a car! Would be awesome to have a twin turbo charged R32 though :)

I'd go for the Mk5 Gti and remap that. It will be quicker for sure. What about the Edition 30? Or are they too much wonger mate?

I've thought about Mk5 GTIs as they sell for similar prices to Mk4 R32s. I don't want to spend more than 10k on the car so that rules out an ED30.

I got insured on mine at 21 so........ :) 22 in October so will see what happens!

What insurance company are you with? I notice on R32oc that Sky Insurance offer a 20% discount to members

Admiral or Churchill I think fella. One of the two. Adrian Flux quoted like £3500! They said that I had to have 12 months experience driving that car before they could give me a decent quote! How can I get 12 months if they wouldnt insure me for a sensible price?

Quick question which you seem like the bloke to ask for info!

im looking into buying this : 6L6071061 & 6L6072002

however ive found different people saying different things all over the forum!

Does anyone know if they will fit on my pre facelift fr 05 plate?

As i reckon there the same chassis on pre and post facelift?

If not how difficult was it to do something similar to what altech has done?

sorry if ive posted in the wrong place lol !!!

Hows things mate, not heard much from you in a while, keeping well? hows the car?

Hi mate, yeah everything is fine with me thanks. My Ibiza hasn't changed at all in the past year! I really want a Mk4 R32 but I refuse to pay over £1500 for insurance! So I'm keeping the Ibiza for a bit longer until my insurance is up for renewal in March... hopefully by then I’ll be able to get a better quote on a R32.

How are things with you? Enjoying TDI power?

Good lad! :D It's worth it! My insurance has just gone out. Just shy of 4 figures. That's with admiral. And I'm 22. :)

I've just turned 23 with 2 years ncb and a few months back I was getting quotes around £2000 on an R32! I guess it's the London postcode :(

yeh mate im well, yeh its good, looking forward to a remap, ahh really, nice cars the mk4. if you ever decided to sell the car without those wheels i would maybe buy them off you. quuite like the spiders on a vRS. yeh insurance is a killer aint it, im like £1100 or so on the fabia, due to paying monthly with there stupid interest rate. would have been about £900 if i paid it outright. hopefully will come down a good bit next year when im 21

You'll love it even more with a remap. Mines been mapped for nearly a year and it still puts a smile on my face when I give it the beans!

Last year I paid approx £600 for a 10 month bonus accelerator policy and I think £800 the year before

i still cant get my head around how a remap can make such a difference, like an extra 40bhp you think, hmm, but ive been told by loads of people that it will be like a whole different car, and go like sh*t off a shovel. did you declare your remap? and are you running a standard clutch?

The rearbumper with the R32 Look exhaust looks fantastic!
Good to hear that you are going to keep it for a while :)

Wheeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyy! :D Mk4 or Mk5? And you have to get the full Milltek system when you get one. Makes SUCH a difference to noise! :D

Has to be the Mk4 :) I like the Mk5 but there's something much more appealing about the Mk4. I've looked at all different kinds of hot hatches but I always end up listening to R32 videos on youtube

Milltek system will defo be on the cards. Unless the car I buy doesn't have one fitted already :)
