Re: Becks Blue Leon Cupra - Going for stage 2 and a blue and white theme

So how long do we have to wait for some decent piccies of the engine bay :p Also love the progress of the motor.

I have an imperial blue LC and your car is inspiration to keeping the car for a few years.

Thanks ;)

Re: Becks Blue Leon Cupra - Going for stage 2 and a blue and white theme

Well I don't like the engine cover so I was thinking sometime around never? :D

I know I need to make a concerted effort to get decent pics of my car and I now have a cracking camera to do it.

The OH is getting a DA polisher kit in a week or two so i'll let him "test it" ;) on the cupra and no doubt so detailing pics will follow then.

Also just realised there is no pics with the wing mirror covers in candy white, I'll try not to neglect the thread so much!

Well....the car is not parked outside MrNormas house after some sort of engine failure.

Few theories being bounced around just now.

Love the car, i thought i was seeing double when i looked at your first post.

How was the ride when lowered 60mm and what was it lowered on?

The code was cleared and its running a bit better, however it is off the road for fear of engine damage as the most likely cause was oil starvation. The oil strainers in these engines are prone to getting choked up so its coming out and being cleaned and we are putting a new adjuster on.

Watch this space though its getting stipped this evening.

Cool hope this sorts it for you becks;)
It's probably worth me mentioning that when i did a bit of research alot of people were mentioning a faulty camshaft sensor. (Senses the position of the camshaft or somat?) if this is out then it throws up your fault which is why in the possible causes it lists a sticky/worn tensioner.
I am no mechanic so don't take my word for it, but definatly worth bearing it in mind.
