Well i took the car out for a spirited drive tonight and thought i'd do a little write up of the comparison between the two maps. First off ive notice that the new AmD map is more punchy low in the revs and high up in the revs, but mid range the revo has a bigger punch than the AmD map. For example if rolling start in 3rd gear at 4000rpm, the Revo map will have the slight edge and more aggressive punch of power, but higher up in the revs above 5000rpm is where you can really feel the difference, with the new map it seems like you get a nice punch of power at 5000rpm where the revo map was consistant at this revs and started to die off. If im cruising on a motorway or a road in 5th or 6th and use the torque low down to pull out you can feel with the new map that there is defo more torque. Very pleased with the new map Power is definately addictive. Ive got a spare K04 in the garage, mmmm hybrid....
Today saw me put the car on the rollers at AmD and it got 295.1bhp/311.9ftlb which i am happy with, but also annoyed as i want that magical 300 now haha. But overall im happy as the power is pretty consistant now. I got less torque today, 9ftlb less than before but the torque is held better up in the revs
Within the next month to 2 months the LCR will be up for sale. Ive had a hard few months with life at home etc and not had it easy so ive decided to finally treat myself and go for MK2 Leon Cupra K1 if money allows, if not just the Cupra. Ive had a long hard think and thought to myself lifes far to short and ive had my eye on the MK2's for a while as they've grown on me
