New Engine!

Big update I picked up a new engine today off a member on here.

Engine had covered 50,000miles before rebuild & 14,000 after.

BAM block bored out to 1.9
ADR largeport head
Large race valves
Forged crankshaft
Forged JE 1.9 pistons
Forged JE Rods

It also had recently had new cambelt and waterpump. And I also got a few bits I can sell on like G60 flywheel vr6 clutch, 225 injectors, inlet manifold.

nice must of cost you alot , with a forged engine rated over 500bhp now , aren't you tempted to go big turbo?

Whipped the head off to fit a new head gasket as there was a tiny oil build up on the corner. Not sure if its leaking but better to be safe than sorry!

I got it for a really good price seeing as it has had over £5k spent on it 6 months ago.

Yeah sometime in the future maybe, its nice to know I now have an engine that can take everything I could throw at it!

Yeah it was a good find! Im more happy about how much money it has saved me rather than time as I was looking forward to doing all the work. Still couldnt resist taking the sump and head off her to check out the internals!

Great find! Glad it looks clean mate. Now we have pretty much the same engine. Is a good feeling as you say knowing it can take anything you throw at it. Never regreted going mad on my engine you got so lucky picking that up!

Yeah I was just looking at yours and mine look different.. Do they look different depending on what compression ratio they are? Yours look like they are higher comp than mine therefore having bigger cutout for valve clearance.

I think thats all to do with CR's.. because if you look both our engines are in the same position and your pistons sit almost flush with the block whereas mine dont. And that says to me mine are lower comp.

Interesting they are defo oversize je pistons tho. I'm sure bill can clear this up he source my pistons as I was not sure what to go for
