Ok small update:

I picked up the BBS RC's today. Couldn't permanently fit them as I didn;t have the proper bolts (ones I have now leave space between)
However I did fit them to see if they cleared the 312mm brakes

Note, I raised the back 2cm since yesterday, but might raise it another cm.

Front is going down more

The wheels need to be cleaned asap but gonna do some work on them whilst they are off.
Then I'll get new bolts probably tomorrow and fit them. Raise/drop the car where its needed and hopefully get camber adjusted on Tuesday

Let me know what you guys think

Yes it does mate...but like I said first wanna get the other rims on.

just a question though, how are you people keeping your rear spacers on? Because seems to me like its almost impossible...or I'll need to raise it a lot which I don't want...

BTW exhaust scraped speedbump twice haha
Brummy's 'special' spacers tip #1.

if your using 'Universal' spacers , rather than hubcentric (obviously the hubcentrics bolt on to the hub) , spread some silkafix/tigerseal on to the spacers , not too much mind, but enough to spread and grip when you tighten your alloys
;)

Loving your motor, too.. not 100% sure on the BBS's , might just be because they're dirty in the pic?? are you going silver or darker with them ?

well now they are painted some kind of cream color which I am not too fond of. And the paint is coming off slightly. So I actually want to get the paint off, and then keep them silver and shiny.

Anyone have any idea how I can get the paint of porperly? or is it just sanding?

dependant on which type of paint it is, really...
I used a stuff called 'Nitro-Mors' to stip some old alloys, but you have to be careful with it, (and its no good for tyres!!, so remove them first ideally ;) )

cheers mate.

Just had a search on internet as well...and gonna get some paint remover after work, which supposively works well on metal.

The wheels look very different to what I want them to be in the end. THe cream color will be removed, and then I will polish the metal.
Then they should look very nice imo.

More tedious hours of work planned haha

Have to say on the plus side, these wheels are ultra light. unbelievable!

Just one thing to say...stripping alloys of their paint is hell haha!!

Sorry cus, they will go polished/silver look.

But as I found out today, that could take a while

Ok have to admit I made a mistake saying I was gonna polish the wheels lol!

The BBS RC's just have too many spokes and small corners making it nearly impossible to remove the 3 layers of paint and primer to then have more hours (days actually) polishing them.

So got them stripped of their paint (professionally) and painted them a sort of gunmetal color. Epoxi primer and 2 layers of paint.
Thinking of finishing them off with clear gloss coat but not sure.

What you guys think? (sorry for pic quality again...)

I'll be sticking them on the car coming saturday. I'll be adjusting the ride hight at that time as well.

looking good reuvers :)

should look pretty sweet on the car too .
you upping the suspension? or just adjusting slightly to fit the rims ?

:D

Thanks for the replies guys!

Yeah I'll only be adjusting the hight to fit these wheels. Have 17" on the car now and these BBS are 16" and slightly wider (7.5") so I'll need to see what hight I'll have it. Wanna keep it real low like its now lol :D

I do wanna see what spacer I can fit on the rears as the rims are sticking in too much for my liking. The 20mm ones I used to run are a no go though with the ride hight I have in mind ;)

update will follow this weekend
