Saving for a change of car!!!
Well, the time has come to hopefully make a move into a different league of everyday transport
Luckily for me at the moment work is good and I think if I start seriously saving and stop spending my money on useless rubbish
I think in a few months time I can do it.
So, everything considered:
The fact that I drive me the Mrs and the dog down to the south of France a couple of times a year and take my Bike etc
Gotta be quick, look good and have a good level of comfort.
Also my main consideration is that it has to be capable in all weather conditions, lets face it, it rains all the time, the roads are . . . . . . and when it snows I still need to be able to get into work etc (where I live is a little remote).
I always wanted an S2000 and have looked at a few but with all the above it just isn't practical. I have owned N/A and Turbo, Petrol and Diesel cars but always FWD.
I think I would kill myself in anything with any poke and RWD so it has to be 4WD.
Jap stuff is too common and I'm sorry to say that most the Jap cars around here are owned by total tools, the lads that used to have the really low 3series with limo tints and silly loud exhausts seem to have moved to Subaru or Mitsubishi ownership. Don't get me wrong, I do like these cars, very capable and rapid for the money but I feel they are more of a weekend fun car than an everyday/long distance cruiser.
So . . . . . . 4WD, not jap, fast, with all the toys
I'm going for . . . . . . AN AUDI S4 !
Cant wait, it will be a dream come true. I think I can probably get a 50-60k mile B7 avant for the money I want to spend.
So what do you all think?
What would you get for around 10k if you were in my situation?
Thanks everybody, this forum is great and I will keep updating as I have some new wheels and a few other little bits for the Ibiza here but I wont be purchasing anymore big mods for it now as it will be up for sale in hopefully no more than 5months time.
