Pipe looks spot on. Done a good job on that.
I'll send you a pm regarding my spare key question.

P.S
Sweet motor, nice to c it in the flesh!!!

Thanks for sorting me out with that, it makes such a nice touch to the engine bay. No worries about the spare key Q, PM me and i'll get the details of the mapper he used. Here it is fitted anyway and polished up more:

I didn't managed to do the DP, Sports Cat or DBM today as the car is just too low to get any axle stands under, my jack was struggling to get it high enough. Try again next weekend on a ramp :).

I actually quite like the contrasting brackets for some reason. I'm not a huuuge engine bay wh0re, hence the choice of black hoses but i'll do the manifold in good time, in the summer after it's gone Stage 2.

Thanks Aimez, it looks good and i'll be there if the date doesn't clash with my trip.

You won't regret it! It's alot of cash but very worth spending :). It also means you can buy a touch-up pen from SEAT and it'll actually match the colour.

I want to take it to some summer meets so people who are like I was, can see the results :)

Thanks for the feedback, really appreciated.

Today didn't go as planned, I had my MOT which passed just fine although my rear wishbone bushes are giving up so they're being done next weekend. After this, we had a stab at the DP & Cat and my my, what a job that looks to be, a real mission so it's back in the box and awaiting fitment another time, I think i'll get AMD to fit it for me seeing as they're familiar with it all.

It wasn't a complete waste though, I got the DBM changed for the THS one.

Looks the same as OEM huh, in fact I am pretty sure that it is but with a stiffer bush but what a difference it makes on the road. Wheel hop & spin is greatly reduced, in most case to nothing on a dry day like today, that's even with tyres that need changing. The power goes down smoothly and quickly and the cars acceleration really has some bite to it. There is less delay between the transmission and wheels so power feels instant and there is no cabin vibration what so ever, in fact i'd say that there was less compared with the OEM one. Gear changes now feel smoother with less jerking and all in all, the car feels alot tighter, I would recommend this to anyone!

Indeedy. I got them from Camskill, cheaper than any other slotted discs I could find so it was a no brainer and they look cool. I hope I got the right parts?

Pads FCP1348H
Discs GD1338

I am hoping you know J0N as from memory, you have the same setup? The discs are 323mm as told to me by my trusty tape measure.

You can pick up sh*t ones from Eurocarparts for about £50 each but when your brakes are the only thing stopping you from crashing, I won't be tight, same as tyres. The discs on my car were fitted before I got it and they are cheap as hell, first they wore unevenly meaning I had wobbly feeling under braking, then they squeeled alot and the icing on the cake was when they decided to fade coming to a roundabout. Brembo plain discs are £250 and Bills eliptically grooved discs still come out at over £200 inc VAT.

I agree mate, i just find the OEM ones so good thats all, Was the first thing that i noticed when i first got my LCR.

i didnt know the standard brembo ones were £200 so now i do it makes youres look cheap. Im obviously going to have to go the way you have too.

The OEM ones are good Bobby but if you decided to keep with plain discs next time, i'd get some good mid range ones at least. The fade I experience wasn't too pleasant but then again, we might be different tyres of driver. I used to do alot of karting when I was younger so when i'm on a spirited drive, I take the 'racing lines', use the engine power/torque when it's needed and use the brakes to their potential.

I hope so J0N, i'm always in the mind to upgrade as you replace so lets see how these perform. How did you bed in your pads?

Nice offer Martin haha but D.K got in there 1st unless he wants the DP and you want the Cat? :p This is the last of the mods until April though, Insurance, cambelt and tyres are next.

Mash, I got them delivered for a smidge over £300. Discs were £197 & Pads were £102. Bill's discs came in at about £8 more expensive and he was the second cheapest supplier that I found.

Also, some of you might have seen a thread I started about tyres, switching my mind between Vredestein Sessanta, Toyo T1R & Falken FK452. After alot of research, I've decided to go back with the FK452. It's the best all rounder out of the 3 and that's what I need. Thinking back to the summer, they were perfect for the weather and TBH I don't think I am going to get better this side of £100 a corner, GoodYear Eagle F1 Assymetric being the ultimate but too expensive right now. I put the Toyo's at the bottom because of their squishy side walls, I thought way back to my last car and they sometimes gave a double entry feel when cornering. It was managable on a lighter car but with almost double the BHP and extra KG's, I don't think they're necessarily right for me.
