Sounds like a fantastic mod, great write up BTW! You've convinced me to get one of these bad boys. :)

Good stuff. If you're going to be at the AMD RR day then you're welcome to have a look over it and go for a spin.

Nice write up mate, glad your happy with it. I still have mine sitting in my bedroom being lazy ;)

Stop being lazy! Seriously worth it and there aren't even many places to cut your hands to shread either.

The car boosts very hard now, I got a friend to drive it off up the road and with DP/Sports-Cat & 3" TIP is sounds very highly powered/tuned. It's almost a shame to lose the OE cat-back this coming weekend but it's holding my performance back so it has got to go.

the only thing I would add to your writeup, is for the hoses, a light smear of washing up liquid on the 76mm hoses will help you slide things one, and allow th epipes to rotate and slide about to align stuff easier, before you tighten them up.. Dont use it on the lower coupler tho onto the turbo.. it falls off when you tighten it up with washing up liquid on it.. :)

Thanks Bill :). I used a little engine oil to lube things up which worked well too. Hats off to you really, a great product with proven performance gains, it's almost a different car...again :D.

I'll be fitting mine at the weekend :D

Easy peazy Darren, you'll have no problems with it :). Stage 2 map next?

Thanks very much for the kind words, it's never boring to hear appreciation for all of the blood, sweat, tears & money that goes into a project. I have to say that the LCR is one of the most rewarding cars to tune, give it the proper equipment, time and care and it'll reward you well. If you need any tips on anything then give me a shout :)

hmm.. engine oil not a great move tbh... I use fairy liquid as it dries and is slippy only whilst its liquid.. Engine oil or any other oil will stay as a lubricant forever.. Not what I would advise. Glad you like it tho.. It works better than hoped.

I only used a small amount on the MAF housing as that was the tightest fit, literally couldn't get it on without it. Anyway no matter as it's coming off again today for trimming :).

If your having issues with fitting silicone try putting this in boiling water for ten mins to expand and soften it.

Thanks Willie, great advice. I took the pipe off last night to resize it and it would just not go over the MAF housing, I was getting stressed :D. I stuck it in boiling water for 5mins and with a little washing up liquid I got it on.

I trimmed 1" from the MAF end & 1" from the ported joiner end and it now fits well however I have decided to do away with the Neuspeed shield and position the filter differently :).

Hi subscribers. A very disappointing morning for me :(. I got to the exhaust fabricator and I was all set to ge the cat-back made up finally however, I was greeted (or is that not greeted at all) by a man who firstly looked at me as if I was mad because I'd requested 3" and not 2.5", I found out the reason that he was trying to push his 2.5" was because he had to do less work. After that I was asked which tailpipe that I wanted so I pointed to a 6x4 oval but they h no stock and apparently are special order so they tried to give me a tailpipe that I wasn't happy with (upswept ugly cr@p) so I kindly declined all of their work and walked away. I have rebooked for 2wks time when he is apparently ordering in my oval but based on their cluelessness and disorganisation I will take my car elsewhere perhaps. On the plus side the car sounds fantastic still with the current setup so sorry lads, maybe you'll get to hear it next time.

Lame.

Not good matey. I'm not sure I'd now go back to them with my money after that experience if it was me. Your call though bud.

If you've decided initially that this was the correct place for you then just put it down to the guy having a bad day.
He might have had a few drinks the night before and argued with his missus, or just found his missus in bed we the milk man.
We've all had bad days, give the guy another chance.

That's crap. Where/who was it?

RSR in Redhill, Surrey.

Agree with you Tom, they've lost my confidence. We'll have a good b*tch tomorrow at AMD ;).

Hmmm, they didn't really know what they were on about honestly. I'm guessing more than often Mr Focus turns up and says "I want a LOUD system, bruv, here's my car & keys". I'm not sold TBH and I only trust my car to those who give me confidence, I have doubt here.

Yeh I don't think it was that bad Saturdays unfortunately are not great day for garages they are tired after weeks work and lots of people that can't get there during the week put pressure on them to do their job on a Saturday.

Being a Saturday is no excuse, if you don't like working on a Saturday then get a new job or don't offer the service. I'm sorry to say but as long as you're being paid, you're required to do your job to the best of your ability. 'Hi there, I'm an A&E nurse and I work Monday - Friday and weekends also however, I don't like working on a weekend really so I hardly bother helping anyone on those days'. Doesn't cut it does it, as long as I'm paying you money for a service that you offer, you provide me with the service that I want, 'tis business.
