Couple of deliveries today

Got my intercooler pipework kit for the new setup

IMG_5204.jpg

Also got my small washer bottle kit too so i can run the pipework down that route

IMG_5207.jpg

Awaiting map sensor tube and turbo reducer then i can get cracking with it

Still need to bead the end of the pipes (once all ready, size etc)

Then i need an 8mm hose port welding on for the N75 valve

All to come soon though :)

Niiiiice, few pointers for you though before you do it....

Throw away those rubber couplers and clamps and get yourself some decent 4 ply silicone and hefty clamps, if you get the pipework beaded (like I did tonight :D) then you will probs find the rubber couplers will still pop off over the bead.

Don't worry about welding an 8MM take off onto the metal, just get yourself a 8MM hose take of from Revotec around £20 and wack the vacuum piping on that :)

Good luck :D

Ha that was my next question lol

Dont worry the clamps will be going, ive had bad experiences with crap hose clamps lol

Going to get a load of the t-bolt clamps for this

Are the silicone couplers not very good then?

Beat you to it :)

Keep the clamps for minor things, most likely not car related ;)

T-bolts clamps are good, like mine although after having them pressure tested I see they're not as good as I thought, you need to do them up MEGA tight otherwise you'll find yourself leaking.

The ones that I got in my hose kit were pants, eBay jobby yeah... For what it's worth get yourself some proper 4 ply silicone. I saw it that it was still the cheapest way to do it because the pipework alone cost more than the eBay kit with all the stuff.

Quick question mate

These have to be installed onto the silicone hose and not the alloy pipe yer??

Can i put it on the turbo reducer?

Ive bought a new 51-63mm straight reducer for when i do the pipework so if it will be fine on that then ill do it :)

Cheers guys

Thought they were for different sizes but wasnt sire lol

Well fitting will be this weekend hopefully all will be good!

The 60-68 mm clamps were too small for these pipes so i have another 20 clamps in 67-75mm to go on now

Hello mr 1.2l

IMG_5232.jpg

Decided while i was there to bin the carbon canister

IMG_5246.jpg

For those who have done it can you tell me if this is right

Ive removed all the piping, blanked off the hose to tip, blanked off the hose on the throttle body

Then the hard hose that clips into the plastic holder with the 2 fuel lines i have extended down into the wing to vent to amosphere?

Recognise that set up ;) is it off the road for a little? also have you checked clearance on the OEM crash bar?

Lol yours has been a bit of a guide if im honest :)

It will be off the road till its finished yer, few days off work so i should get it done.

Crash bar needs grinding which ill be doing tomorrow now

Any ideas about my post regarding carbon canister? i know you've done away with it on yours

Parts really depend on the intercooler you are using but the basic step is buying a mandrel bend pipework kit off ebay (63mm)
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-5-TURBO-INT...CarParts_SM&hash=item5d28a78f1a#ht_1474wt_905

Some pipes will need cutting down in lengths etc

As for the N75 connection

Buy one of these and attatch it to one of the silicone hoses
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Silicone-Hose...CarParts_SM&hash=item2eb2f1d1cb#ht_500wt_1156

Smaller washer bottle is just a universal kit on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Universal-12V...arParts_SM&hash=item414b443c40#ht_2044wt_1139

Map sensor tube i bought the longer 240mm length as id rather have too much than too little, after all i can cut it down in size if i need to ;)
