So...

After hours of thinking (I'm quite slow :D) and fighting with the mrs. I decided to do the conversion. The car is currently undergoing the transplant and should have it back in about 2 weeks time. Meanwhile I got few pictures of how it looks so far. Plus I got the brakes fitted :)

Anyway, it's been very long journey and can't wait to get my car back. I'll put some more pics once I get car back. I just hope it will be reliable :D

Well done to YOU for getting the car the way YOU want it,:clap:lot of work and £££ gone into it .Like you said not to everyones taste but its what YOU think that matters. I think it looks cool except for the spoiler...Enjoy it, and i hope its reliable for you...........

Thanks, i'm trying to be original, there's so many btcc/k1 kits around so wanted something different. There's still some bodywork stuff i need to sort out, mainly back bumper, mirrors and few other bits plus once i felt more power i want more, will take time now as too much was spent on it already but slowly will get there. Will go on dyno in november to see what power he has, so will put some graphs in a while.

thanks, I hope will get it to stage 2+ and sort out body work etc to have it all smooth. I guess a lot of people don't like bodykits (aftermarket ones) and lambo doors (I don't like them anymore but too late now) but it's nice to make a dream come true :) thanks for those that appriciated the effort even if they didn't like the car

welldone with all that work :) i can see so much time and effort, i love the black and red together. i think it would look much better without the spoiler IMHO. im used to all the body kits ect as im a big jap car fan. enjoy your ride :)

thanks Sam, yeah I'm thinking about getting different spoiler. I wanted BTCC one but they are so hard to get.

save your money first and try without a spoiler :)
your car already stands out so its a case of perfecting the look. if i was in your shoes, id get rid of the spoiler, refit standard rear lights and tint them. remove the front eyebrows and get some tint covers for them. every thing will match better and look cool :D

I actually got red joiners now (well one on and one still to fit) and one blue went :D. trying to save some money now and fit HPFP and engine mount then will get dp. After that think will start sorting bodywork out so probably will get rid of the spoiler and maybe get the one that comes with this bodykit (it's more subtle)

Car looks great mate. I actually like the lambo doors. Its not something i'd do on mine but its a nice touch. Not 10% keen on the zorsts but if it makes you happy then its all good.

Also like the way your car is a 'he' rather than a 'she' Nice to be different lol

What was the standard spec of the car? Engine size, trim level etc?

Thanks Shane, few more bits coming next week hopefuly. Car was box standard 1.6 Reference. Very standard car, regret a bit that didn't go for at least stylance but didn't have enough money at the time.
