Bought another PD150 engine because I think I have an addiction. Will be having a play with that and everything else whilst I should get on with rerouting the wiring in the tailgate *sigh*

...think "Don't break, don't break"

Just kidding... although not for me ......

That's the thing - since I fixed the issues with the boost pipes, it's been running absolutely spot on.

The only thing that worries me is emissions, but I'm hoping once I clean out the intake manifold it's going to run much cleaner as well.

All I've got to do is re-upholster the door cards and spray the bumpers and it's pretty much done. It's really sorted for the most part - polybushes all round, rear-ARB, vacuum lines replaced, new shocks less than 1k old. It's OEM+.

That ARL engine - look after it and it goes forever. And it's just perfect for someone who wants a really well handling car that's got enough power where it counts for getting from a to b and having fun doing it.

Looks like I just sold it back to myself...

Then prepped and painted the front doors... they come out a bit **** really. They will need a flat and polish to help them out...

Got bit of a reflection on them

Well nothing some 2000 and 2500 grit wet and dry won't sort out

Agreed, driving the PD150 through flowing A and B roads is bliss (and crunching big motorway miles is a breeze)

Was tidying the garage and got distracted so ended up doing a little CAD work. What do you reckon, #1, #2, or #3? (ignore the little gaps at the end)

Been doing lots of small jobs since it came back from the garage, fitted heko wind deflectors, new gear knob, centre caps, adjusted the headlights so they sit right a few more bits to do these mk1 are a full time job ?

Meh, the engine didn't cost much (for obvious reasons... and the not so obvious cam wear thing) and I bought it to strip down and maybe rebuild so it's all good

Right. Didnt make it to the workshop today. But been making mental lists of bits i want..... not need just want so ... all the continental leon lovers.
I am looking for an AGN rocker cover. I been told they are in the UK just very rare. Lot more common over the water . Please let me know if you have or can find me one in good condition .

"Oh" I thought to myself "I'll just tidy up the garage, yanno, get tools away and make space for doing work later on"

So... some tools and parts got put away... then I pulled out an engine to put together with parts from another one.

Ah well, there's always tomorrow

Was having a look under the bonnet today and noticed the rubber hose to the fuel rail looks like ****.
Is this a common thing?
Going up to the local stealers tomorrow to see how much and how long.
