Can cruise control be retro fitted to my MK4 Ibiza

There is a genuine retro Fabia kit on Ebay for £65.00 delivered, includes the loom and stalk, plus instructions.
Part nunber for loom is 1J0 971 425 and the stalk is 8L0 953 513 J 01C (Skoda) or 1J0 953 513 01C (VW).

Has anyone here attempted to fit a kit themselves? How much of the dash needs taking out?

Thats a kit for a MK1 Fabia, different to the Ibiza that uses the combined stalk.

I have fitted plenty of Ibiza cruise controls, just the lower dash panels need to come off along with steering wheel etc obviously.

So, if I woud like to have a cruise control, I need an original cruise control lever from seat and those homemade looms? (those from Techie)? or anything else?

My car is ibiza 2003, 1.9tdi 74kw, signo and I have a 6Q1 or 6Q0 unit

Kuftec make the looms also I think although never used them myself obviously.

But yes that's all you need plus coding.

I have a 6Q2 module, can it be changed for a compatible module? If so, would one from a car from a scrappy work?

Yes it could be swapped for a 6Q0 or 6Q1

Hmm, do you know how much these cost? Don't know if you will be able to tell me but why did'nt they just use the same module across the range?

Roughly about £300 for the control unit.

The differences are in what equipment is fitted, I.e electric mirrors, windows etc. although they could have just fitted one type on all of them.
