To be fair that graph is really good! Holds the power like it should, my hybrid maps drops radically!

I'd love a map that holds the power alot better, but really can't justify paying £450 for a custom map just to have something that might not make an difference whatsoever! :(

Here are a few pics of my car on the rollers
Remap4.jpg
i bet you were a bit nervous for your splitter when Will was lowering the front end into the rollers

And the dyno print out for all you stats lovers

DynoPrintout.jpg

As you can see it made 147 hp and 225 lb/ft before and 170 hp and 300 lb/ft after which I'm more than happy with. I'd recommend P Torque to anyone

nice figures there, especially the torque! :funk:

I don't think my clutch will love it for long
Yep, stage 1 remap is supposed to be clutch friendly. It's fine atm and I'm trying not too boot it at lower revs.

looking at your graph....when driving hard so long as you keep the revs over 2750rpm the torque will be under the 300 ft/lb threshold of the clutch;)..... to be safe keep the revs over 300rpm and you'll not need to replace your clutch ;)

It kind of takes the fun out of driving not being able to boot it at lower revs. I'll see how it goes over the next few months

you say that but looking at the graph (again:rolleyes:).......between 2750 rpm and 4250rpm you are in the peak BHP range between 155 and 170 bhp whilst still between 290 ft/lbs and 230 ft/lbs.......thats still a great power band to have under your right foot:funk:

this is why having a graph printout is so useful as you can tell when is best to change gear etc so you can best utilise your cars power! as you can see there's no point in accelerating past 4250rpm as the bhp and torque tail off ;)

if you have a look at the Jan 09 graph clicky you'll see (just, didn't scan to well) that my optimum power band is between 3000 and 4000rpm (170 - 200 bhp & 300 - 270 ft/lbs)......although i do have 330 ft/lbs at 2500rpm its only ~155bhp....it'll kill my standard clutch....yes i am still on the standard clutch!!!!!!
if you use your graph to your advantage, you'll save your clutch!

Pleased you are happy with the remap

Loved the exhaust, looked great!

Will, liking the new graph printouts, a lot more detailed from when i came to your rolling road day early in the year! i'll keep an eye out for your next RR day

Thanks for all the replies :D

aye that is a tasty graph, bet your glad you done the map now and probably surprised you held out for so long, well worth it tho.

Yeah I'm glad it's done now. It has totally transformed the car. Have you uploaded your dyno graph?

Pleased you are happy with the remap :)

Very happy with the remap! The drive home was a breeze. I did take some drive by videos along the road that enters your industrial estate...I don't think I'll be posting them up though

Haha I was a bit shocked when I came out an saw it!

Thanks for the analysis, very helpful. Are you running a stage 2 map?

:funk: Awesome Altech... glad your happy with it all. Good figures for BHP and torque after the remap. :)

Can't wait until I get mine done next Tuesday... Will see what gains I make over standard!

You won't be disapointed! I hope you have some decent weather for the drive back :)

Nice figures there, I actually passed you going the other way as I was going to Will for my remap. Car looks very tidy.

As for the clutch I've already had a hint of slippage, just put the throttle down progressively so you reach full throttle at about 2800rpm and it seems to be fine. But then again its just an excuse to spend some more on the motor and get an uprated clutch and SMF once funds permit.

Wow! They're great stage 1 map figures!

Cheers mate :) I haven't felt any slippage yet (touches wood!) What figures did you car make?

Made 177 bhp and 316 lb/ft. Totally transformed the engine.

How are you finding the map then?

I really like the map. The way the power is held up the rev range is great. Won't have a chance to test it over the weekend with the weather the way it is

Stage 1 P-Torque remap :D

Slightly optimistic power figure on the first power run.

the first being FEB 08 or the JAN 09 (as its listed first)?

they were both done at rolling road days where other cars were making expected power figures, so i have no reason to doubt both graphs.....all 3 runs (both times) were smilar results to the actual print outs
between the 2 runs other modifications were done which would account for the power increase

certainly have, the best thing about the map for me is that the power delivery is so smooth and progressive, its also relentless, most of the time im on 1/2 throttle as that still gives me plenty of grunt when overtaking

Is it just me or has anybody else found the trip computer more accurate since remaping??

Nice graph :D Looks nearly identical to mine.

I haven't noticed my trip computer being more accurate. I did average 3 mpg better on the journey back from P Torque.

must just be me with the trip comp, what im findiing now is that is that the miles to fill up meter is actually tracking the same as the mileage that im doing and the average MPG is changing more frequently.

cheers man, great maps arent they. Are you running a BLT engine as well?? those before figures are scarily similar...... your not the evil twin are you???????????

 Evil twin. I've got an ASZ engine in my Ibiza. Your standard engine torque was quite a bit more than mine. My standard torque was actually lower than the book figures! It's not now though :D
