Any idea where to look Phil? I might try and mate some Weitec shocks with KW springs if it works out cheaper that way. Can't see the ride being affected seeing as they're the same company and all. I would snap you up on that if we were closer Phil for sure, I have never been in a lowered LC or LCR before so not sure what to expect.

I got mine from DPM dampers and springs, i thought i would try the springs first..big mistake the ride was horrendous, so went for the dampers after and put them on along with new wishbones, bush's and R32 ARB, every time i go out it put a massive grin on my face.
 
Is it the TT Cabriolet wishbone bushes that I need? Do they really make that much of a difference? Oh, and I need new top mounts right...front and back?

Car is sealed now, good old Jetseal, blinds me in the dark now :D. I'm working on getting an HID kit from mum at Xmas which will be handy.
 
Yes and Yes :D I replaced both front top mounts and bearings and both rear top mounts when I changed the suspension, but my car is 3 yrs older than yours and had done 100,000 miles, the TT bush's help stiffen the front up, I think seat have now replaced the Cupra R bush with the TT one as standard, it’s easy to tell the difference the TT one has a completely rubber centre where the old Cupra r one has gaps in it.
 
Loving the new paint, it looks awesome! How nice was that first drive after picking it up? With the $hitty weather we're having at the moment you're car must have really stood out.

You now get to enjoy washing and waxing her, nothing gets you more motivated to clean your car than a fresh respray.
 
ive been un decided as to get a respray on my yellowish lcr,but after seeing yours im 100% getting it done,it brings a tear to my eyes everytime i look at my car now and even the missuse says it needs to be done.may even go darker on my wheels too,sorry to copy but youve got it spot on there!
 
JamJay, the finish of the re-spray really does look flawless. How many body shops did you consider before making your final choice? I own an Ovni LCR, and for anyone that owns a car in this colour, they will know that paint fade is often inevitable, especially on the plastic parts. I find that machine polishing and keeping it detailed can only keep it looking reasonable:shrug: I’ve owned my car since 2005 and I suspect that it’s something I may have to consider in the long term.

It looks ‘like new’ and I suspect that your still grinning from ear to ear? I look forward to seeing where your thread goes next! Oh, and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for some sunshine for you……

Thanks James, much appreciated. I only considered two bodyshops, both I had used before so I knew what I was getting. They both quoted me the same price so it was just a case of who could get the car started sooner. Killed me not having a car for 3wks though but the grin is still there yes! It's nice not to walk outside on an overcast day (when the fade is most obvious) and feel disheartened. Don't get me wrong, it was never badly faded but as you say, detailing cannot solve the issue.
I am please with my decision to get it done, I have a fresh looking car for the remainder of my ownership and whoever the lucky new owner will be in a year or so, will be happy also.

Aside from HIDs and a Dog Bone mount, I want to get the cambelt & tyres changed, then I start saving for Stage 2 things & suspension bits :).
 
Once the paint has fully hardened make sure you get her prooperly protected. To keep the paint looking fresh for years to come.
 
I don't know, just a thought at the moment but I've always fancied a bit of a rally toy like an Impreza WR1 or EVO 8 300, they're so much fun to chuck around. On the other hand, since 2007 when they were released, i've really liked the new shape BMW 330ci. I'll go Stage 2 before this though and see how that excites me as i'm getting too used to Stage 1 by reaching higher speeds without realising it.

I hope Stage 2 gives the car a new lease of life like Stage 1 did over stock.

Either way, in a year or not, if I sell, the new owner will be a lucky boy indeed :D
 
Mmmm, Evo 8! I used to own an FQ330. Absolutely loved it but, i am now on my second LCR and that shows how much i like these!!

Your car looks spot on. Really like what you have done with it as you seem to be as picky as me when it comes to your car!!
I saw in another thread about you getting some 5000k HIDS?? If you do get some could you let me know how you get on with fitting and how much improvement they make?
