That sounds really good, I'm going to start with the dp and cat then get the rest of the system later aswell.

Can i ask what made you choose pipewerx over bluflame?

It sounds better in reality, especially when it's hot. I didn't have a choice really, I bought them second hand but barely used from what I can tell. TBH though, I probably would have gone with which ever one was cheaper if I was buying new, from what I understand, they're completely the same :). I totally recommend doing this mod, it instantly makes a difference to your car where as a cat-back really adds nothing. I like the fact that, for the time being, I have an OEM tailpipe which is one thing that I'd like to keep, it's the perfect size. I think for the cat-back, i'll be going custom.

For anyone not sure what they're dealing with when it comes to the OEM parts, here's a picture. It's pretty obvious why they're so restrictive.

Also for anyone worried about MPG, the car returned 34.5MPG last night with mixed driving.

it sounds good. is this gonna be problem with the MOT ?

and did you notice something on the power or is just the sound ?

A 200cell Cat will be fine for the MOT. I have no EML light on, unlike a decat. The gain in performance is greater than the gain in sound, the car feels more responsive, quicker on acceleration and less hesitant (not that it was before, but there's a difference). Turbo spool is approx 200rpm lower and sounds louder, the car just feels alot better to drive and less like it's being forced to hold back.

ok nice, i also want to keep my tail pipe standard.

so this would be a nice upgrade downpipe and cat..

thnx for the info

More cleaning. I'd like to thank my mum for her endless support with my OCD & the abuse of her home, water and food, my Step-Dad for the use of the hose pipe and most importantly myself for the heroic efforts I put towards the cause that is...keeping the LCR clean.

New wax, Collinite 476s.
