So the steering wheel is plug'n play. how about the airbag?? Is that plug'n play as well or what adapter are you talking about??

What if the navigation system works with these remote buttons on the steering wheel would it be possible to map those to the navigation system?? If you take a look at zenec.com they have a unit that fits the Seat perfectly with anything you could dream of incl. steering wheel remote support!

sorry, haven't updated in a long time...the steering wheel is plug n play, the airbag you need to solder the old airbag adaptor (found behind the airbag) to the new airbag wiring so that the new airbag can connect to the standard loom

unfortunately the mk1's didn't come with a remote function...so all of that would have to be manually wired into the loom with a compatible HU. that's why i had NickyJam customise the steering wheel for me by covering the steering mounted controls as i'll never use them

hey all

just a small update - alloy full refurb in metallic black to be done this saturday also going to be spraying my calipers red and getting windows tinted

i will have her cleaned up for a photo shoot as well as it's been a while

been a while and not done much else to her.

i am looking to sell her later this year although i am still doing the calipers very soon...i know i've been meaning to for ages but getting a gap in the schedule to do them is a nightmare.

unfortunately i won't be mapping her so whoever snaps up this unique baby when i sell her will be very impressed as she's very clean inside and out and still under 60k miles on the clock...hardly driven or thrashed tbh...plus is unique with matching FR gear knob and steering wheel (not seen in mk1 Leons )

will keep you guys updated with new picckies soonish

finally got round to painting my calipers red...really liking it now

unfortunately the tyre place damaged one of my rims so they agreed to pay for a refurb as my rms were mint since i had them re-done.

will get some recent pics up once the rim is back and she's washed

i think this may be the end of the mods to her...finances are needed elsewhere for now unfortunately

after having cracked both driver side alloys and setting off the side airbag I had to source some new wheel and managed to find a fellow member selling his old FR interior for a good price. Luckily the suspension wasn't damaged and nothing else bent...

all's now repaired and back on the road...now with CUPRA 18" OEM alloys. Needed 2 new tyres on 2 of them so now testing the Achilles ATR Sports on the fronts as been given some good reviews from mates

IT'S OFFICIAL...my girl will be handed to her new owner this weekend...

sad times but I needed a change as needed something more family-friendly. It's been a real pleasure being part of SCN and being able to learn and contribute a lot.
