Does it leak that much... topping it up that often is classed as an oil change..
On the oil change note. I just serviced a merc 2545 artic unit.... 57 litres of oil the bugger takes. View attachment 19674

The 18 reg Scania I drive at work was serviced last week. Day after the low oil warning light came on.
I checked the level and it was okay. Reported it to the office that the sensor must be faulty but cause I’d said the level was okay they then handed the keys over to a night driver.
The usual driver was off so they gave the keys to an agency driver but didn’t tell him about the sensor fault.
He took it upon himself to fill up with oil till the warning light went off instead of checking the level.
The light obviously didn’t go off and it was overfilled by about 12 litres the fitter reckoned.
A very expensive mistake and another day off the road while it was drained. ??

Today i replaced both front lower arms and a strut top kit. I'd replaced the other bearing a couple of weeks ago.

Now the steering wheel is at 1 o'clock and the steering pulls to the left.
And going round corners is frightening. It feels like the wheels are pulling against eachother.
So tracking on Monday.

The worst thing is, ive gotta take my missus somewhere tomorrow and its a 50 mile round trip so we'll now be going in her car.
A Fiat 500 diesel! ?

The car sat all weekend it was that bad.
Set the tracking at work yesterday then took it to a local garage for a clutch and starter motor today. Sort of being a little lazy paying someone else to do it but there you go.
Hopefully pick it up tomorrow and re do the tracking.

Fitted my subframe bolt kit and got the car off stands after a week. car drives properly again finally with no noises except the power flex top mounts doing their thing . Also cleaned the algae out my number plate lights and put new bulbs in.

Had wheel bearing changed and oil pickup pipe cleaned in case it contributed to the turbo failing.

Picked my car up from having its clutch,flywheel and starter motor replaced.
Wandering steering so tracking again tomorrow.
Cost a fair bit but will probably last as long of the rest of the car now.

Yeh, its dual mass. Just kept it standard.
The car gets an easy life with me so no need to modify or upgrade in that area.
